Our Mission

The mission of Air Force Child and Youth Programs (CYP) is to assist DoD military and civilian personnel in balancing the competing demands of the accomplishment of the DoD mission and family life through delivery of a system of quality, available and affordable programs and services for eligible children and youth birth through 18 years of age.

What We Offer

Youth Programs (previously known as the Youth Center) offers before and after school care for your child(ren). We offer 3 types of different child care solutions, School Age Care, Open Recreation Program and Teen Program. We also offer extra curricular activities such as Youth Sports Program, Youth Instructional Classes and Youth Clubs to keep your children engaged.

School Age Care

Ages: 5-12 years

The School Age Care provides children ages 5-12 years a safe and supervised environment during before and/or after school times. This program provides a structured environment that includes snacks and meals.

Open Recreation Program

Ages: 10-12 years

The Open Recreation (Open Rec) Program is only an after school program that promotes preteen independence and is minimally supervised. Kids in Open Rec have the ability to come and go as they want.

Teen Program

Ages: 13-18 years

The Teen Zone Program is an after school program that is designed to promote independence. Teens in the Teen Zone have the ability to come and go as they want, but the Teen Zone is a great place for teens to do homework, socialize, collaborate and hangout.

Other Programs

Youth Sports

Involving your kids in physical activities is beneficial to their health, team building and social skills. Youth Sports at Travis includes flag football, baseball, basket ball and soccer. Enroll your kids in a sport at Youth Programs.

Youth Classes

Enrich your kids with one of our many after school classes like music, dance, martial arts and more. Find the right extra curricular activities for your child.

Youth Clubs

The Youth Program has clubs focused on building a positive environment and experience in their community. These clubs are designed to aid individuals in building character and leadership skills.

Youth Sponsor Program

We understand that being a military kid can be hard. Transitioning from one place to another can be challenging for anyone. If your kid or teen is new to the area, our Youth Sponsor Pogram may help make that transition a little bit easier.
