New Youth & Youth Sponsor Program
Our Youth Sponsor Program helps new youth to Travis AFB become familiar with their new home by pairing and assigning them to one of our seasoned youth members. We match the newcomer youth with peers according to gender, age and interests. The youth sponsor will escort the newcomer around school areas and to the Youth Program Centers. They will also introduce you to other peers and various activities on base.
Relieve the Headache of PCS & Child Care
Parents/Guardian’s we understand that moving can be stressful for both you and your child(ren). To provide better service and to help ease some of that headache of finding child care while you plan your move or settle in to your new home, here are some of our top helpful tips.
1. Register your kids to our Child Development Centers or one of our Youth Programs before you move or as soon as you/your spouse have orders to Travis AFB. There is a waiting list for our School-Age Program and during the school year enrollment, spaces fill up within the first day and are on a priority placement basis!
2. If you are on a waiting list, but still need child care before a space becomes available please consider Family Child Care (FCC) providers. FCC providers are licensed to provide child care on military installations. FCC providers are based within their home and must comply with Air Force rules and standards.
